Backgammon is a game of both skill and luck. Two people play with 15 stones, or pieces, each on a board consisting of 24 spaces or points. The checkers are moved according to dice rolls. Each player attempts to bring his stones home and bear them off before his opponent, blocking and hitting the opposing checkers during the endeavour. |
